A Walk In the Forest

Simple walking simulator, very short experience based on what you want to explore.

You get the feeling that you’re not alone.

All you have with you are the clothes on your back and a small flashlight. You don’t know how you got there, but you know that you want to escape as soon as possible. Will you escape? Is freedom even possible? It’s up to you to find out.

The forest seems dead. There are stumps and logs strewn about. The trees that are left standing have no leaves. Those who do are probably close to death as well. There are rocks and boulders, but no sign of any mountain, or other landmark that would explain their presence… It feels eerie and unnatural. Those sounds aren’t the most inviting either. You hear movement all around you. Some of it comes from animals, but you can’t quite pinpoint what could be making some of those other sounds. Whatever it may be, it doesn’t seem to be moving, for now at least.

To top it off, there are remnants of humanity as well, benches and empty tents. You might not be the first one here, but there’s no way of knowing if the others before you escaped or met a more grisly fate. I would suggest not thinking about it too deeply, as your own life is more important right now. There are a few blood-stained arrows here and there, it’s up to you if you want to follow them.

(Side note for those that download the Windows and Mac options, there is no menu, so the only way to close the game is to force quit.)
